The journey

A record that moves
with the person.

People enter at different points. Not every person follows every step.

  1. 01

    Referral or direct entry

A Job Corps center, school, training organization or employer refers a participant, or a person joins directly.

  2. 02

    Candidate

One Oryn identity. Contact, intent, ranked locations and credentials on one record.

  3. 03

    Readiness

Structured onboarding and an explainable Oryn Readiness result.

  4. 04

    Recruiting

    Recruiter ownership, applications and screening.

  5. 05

    Interview and offer

Recruiter and employer interviews, offers and placement decisions with clear next actions.

  6. 06

    Employee or apprentice

Two distinct pathways, each tracked on its own terms.

  7. 07

    Learning and progress

Courses, OJL, RTI, competencies, credentials and wage progression where applicable.

  8. 08

    Retention

Milestones, check-ins and attention indicators after placement.

01Find a starting point

A clearer path
to possibility.

From the first referral to a considered next step. Keep a person’s intent, readiness and the team’s decision distinct and understandable.

01Candidate intent02Derived readiness03Staff decision
Three separate concepts. No silent overrides.

Readiness

Onboarding that produces a readiness the team can explain.

Candidates complete a structured onboarding. Oryn derives an explainable Oryn Readiness result from the answers, credentials and requirements on the record.

Pathway intent
Each candidate chooses Direct Employment, Apprenticeship / Training, or Help Me Decide.
Three separate concepts
Candidate intent, the derived readiness result and the staff decision are recorded separately and shown side by side. None silently overrides another.
Ranked locations
First, second and third choice work locations with relocation preferences, so opportunity alignment reflects real intent.
Credentials and requirements
Credentials held with a verification state, compared against job and location requirements so gaps are visible and actionable.

Readiness is decision support for the team. It does not make hiring decisions.

Oryn Recruit

Recruiting with clear ownership.

Candidates, applications, screening, interviews, offers and placement, with recruiter ownership and routing so every person has someone responsible.

Recruiter ownership
Candidates are routed to an owning recruiter. Handoffs are explicit and recorded.
Applications and screening
On the candidate record, not in a separate tool.
Interviews, offers, placement
Recruiter and employer interviews, offers and placement into a direct employee or an apprenticeship pathway, on the same identity.

02Build on progress

Different pathways.
Continued progress.

Employment and apprenticeship each have their own requirements. Support the right pathway, with learning and evidence attached to the person.

01Direct employment02Apprenticeship / training
One Oryn record
One identity. Two distinct pathways.

Employment and apprenticeship

Two distinct pathways, tracked on their own terms.

Direct employment and apprenticeship are different journeys with different records. Oryn Workforce supports both without pretending they are the same.

Direct employee pathway
Placement with an employer, credential tracking, supplemental training through Oryn Learning, retention milestones and check-ins.
Apprenticeship pathway
Enrollment records, OJL (On-the-Job Learning) and RTI (Related Technical Instruction) tracking, competencies and credentials, wage progression where applicable, supervisor, mentor and instructor activity, required actions and reporting.

Formal apprenticeship requirements are determined by the applicable sponsor or program and the rules that govern it. Oryn Workforce records and tracks the apprenticeship; it does not establish or certify a program.

Oryn Learning

An LMS inside the workforce record.

Course catalog, ordered modules, video lessons, readings, assessments, progress, completion certificates and competency linkage, all tied to the same Oryn identity.

Assignments
Assign a course to one person, many, a trade or an employer, with due dates and attributed waivers.
Competency and RTI
Completed courses can offer competency verification and RTI credit through the existing workforce workflows, applied once and never double-counted.
Training requirements
Employer training requirements can be satisfied by mapped courses, with readiness recomputed from the canonical record.

Oryn does not automatically provide the formal apprenticeship curriculum for every program. Formal coursework and RTI may be delivered by the sponsor, employer, school, union or an authorized training provider. Oryn tracks that training on the record.

03Keep the context

A conversation.
With continuity.

The people around a candidate may change. The context shouldn’t disappear with the handoff.

01Messages02Meet03Voice / SMS
One Oryn record
Three ways to connect. Context on the record.

Oryn Connect

Communication that carries Oryn context.

The communication and collaboration layer inside Oryn Workforce. Three parts, one record.

Messages
Direct messages and channels for trades, programs, locations, teams and partners, with Oryn records referenced inside the conversation.
Meet
Audio and video meetings for interviews, handoffs and check-ins, with notes and summaries as enabled.
Voice / SMS
Organization-owned calling and texting with history, CRM logging and call notes where enabled.

Activation of specific voice, SMS and meeting services is configured per organization as part of production setup.

Oryn CRM

Relationships, follow-up and results on the record.

Every call, note, action and handoff stays with the person, so the next recruiter, supervisor or partner sees the whole history.

Communication history
Calls, messages, meetings and notes logged against the record, with contact points and consent tracked per channel.
Next actions
What happens next, who owns it, and when. Overdue actions surface as Needs Attention.
Handoffs
Explicit handoffs between recruiters, supervisors, partners and instructors, with the context attached.

Oryn Files

Operational documents, attached to the record they belong to.

Resumes, applications, credential evidence, licenses, forms, certificates, apprenticeship documentation and employer documents, tied to candidates, employees, apprentices, courses, placements and organizations.

Operational, not office storage
Files is a document layer for records, distinct from generic collaborative storage. Connected Google Drive or Microsoft 365 workflows are an integration direction, not current functionality.

04See the whole journey

More connected.
Better understood.

Bring partner organizations into the work with scoped visibility, and connect operational reporting to the records teams actually use.

01Partner organization02Permitted records
Role-scoped access
Visibility follows role and organization permissions.

Oryn Partners

The organizations around the person.

Job Corps centers, colleges, trade schools, apprenticeship sponsors, employers, workforce development and community organizations, and training providers can participate as partner organizations.

Structured referral
A partner refers a participant, who becomes a candidate on one Oryn identity that continues through the journey.
Visibility and provenance
Training and progress visibility, credential evidence with provenance, recruiting handoff and outcome tracking where permitted.
Isolation
Each partner organization sees only what it is permitted to see.

Job Corps is a U.S. Department of Labor career-training and education program. Oryn Partners describes a software workflow only; it does not create a legal partnership, agency relationship, sponsorship or government affiliation, and Oryn is not the official Job Corps platform.

Oryn Intelligence

Transparent workforce reporting.

Reporting reads the same canonical records the teams work from. Every figure has an explicit denominator, demo data is scrubbed, and attention triggers point at the action, not a score.

Coverage
Recruiting, pipeline, pathway, placement, location demand, trade and program, employees, apprentices, OJL, RTI, competencies, credentials, partner outcomes, communications, retention and needs-attention indicators.

Oryn Intelligence is operational insight. It does not make opaque hiring decisions, predictive employee scores, automated rejections or protected-trait analysis.

Role-scoped experiences

One connected journey.
Your part in it.

On web and mobile, each experience is scoped to what that role is permitted to do.
